Nicole Sommerfeld has focused her law practice on workers’ compensation ever since passing the Illinois bar exam and getting licensed in 1994.
Nicole grew up in the Chicago area, attending Highland Park High School. She went to college at University of Wisconsin – Madison and earned her juris doctorate from UIC John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
When she first started practicing law it was a family affair, going to work at her father’s law firm, Jerome Foreman & Associates, where she focused on helping workers who were injured on the job.
In 2008, she also joined Abels & Annes, P.C. as Of Counsel.
After her father retired, she formed her own law firm, NICOLE SOMMERFELD LAW in 2023.
Most of Nicole’s new clients come from referrals from her past clients who were happy with her work, and she backs that up with lots of positive reviews online. The injured workers she represents really seem to appreciate the effort she puts into their cases.
Nicole Sommerfeld is a personal injury attorney who focuses her practice on the representation of workers who have been injured on the job. Nicole has more than two decades of experience in the realm of workers’ compensation law and during that time, she has helped countless clients recover for the totality of their losses by making claims for damages including medical care, temporary total disability benefits, permanent total disability benefits, permanent partial disability benefits, and death benefits for the surviving family members of a worker who was killed on the job. She regularly appears before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission where she fights for the best possible outcome for each and every client she represents. Through her efforts as a workers’ compensation lawyer, Nicole has collected millions of dollars for her clients and continues to fight for those she represents on a daily basis.
